The Indian Institute of Welding (IIW) has estimated a short supply of 1.2 million welding professionals including welders, cutters, fitters, equipment operators, and also engineers and inspectors.
The European Welding Federation (EWF) reports a shortage of around 300,000 qualified welders in Europe, with heightened demand in countries like Germany for skilled welders in the automotive and manufacturing sectors.
The welding industry will face a shortage of about 360,000 welders by 2027, according to the American Welding Society.
To overcome this shortages, Practical welding education plays a more significant part in imparting professional skills to a welding professionals.
